My family and I spent our driving time over the Canada Day long weekend pouring over this beautiful book. "One Dominion: Celebrating Canada" is an iconic collection of facts and stories about our beautiful nation. Reading this book has greatly expanded my knowledge and appreciation for our amazing country. "One Dominion" highlights the stories of powerful and influential Canadians who played a key part in creating the country we know today, from our educational system to our health care system. 

The book itself it wonderfully designed with artistic pictures and large glossy pages. It would make it a wonderful coffee table book or an addition to any educational curriculum. The pictures in the book were stunning, as show below by these sample pages:

Lastly, this book was not merely a regurgitation of facts, but a delightfully written and easy to read story of our country. I read this out loud to my family and they kept asking me to keep reading and exclaiming over facts that they didn't know about Canada.
