"Stretched Too Thin" is a "How To Guide" from one working mom to the next. This book is full of examples of busy moms trying to figure out how to thrive in the craziness of life. How do you go from being a professional and providing for your family by advancing your career... to being an attentive, patient mom who is there for her kids? How do you manage to maintain your sanity and look after your own health when your work needs you, your kids need you, your husband needs you, and your house needs you? Tips and tricks abound in this compact read that will help working moms figure out how to sort through the business of their lives and sift down to the most important details. You'll be given suggestions on which "balls" (kids, friends, family...) not to drop and which ones its ok to let bounce and roll sometimes (gourmet meals...haha) ... You'll be given reminders on how to take care of yourself and the importance of not throwing yourself beneath the grinding wheals of your crazy life.
This book isn't too long (what busy mom has time for a long book?) but it is worth investing the few hours it takes to read it. It is easy to pick up and put down as time necessitates, and I found myself flipping to the most applicable chapters and still getting a lot out of it.
This book is certainly targeted at working moms, but there are some useful tools in here for moms who are 'stay at home' moms too. I'd definitely recommend this book to any mom struggling to thrive under the demands of being mom and part of the work force.
