Book two of the Natchez Trace Park Rangers is finally here! I've been waiting for this book to come out ever since I read the first installment of this new series. "Obsession" did not disappoint!
This is a total stalker-thriller. I generally don't like these kinds of books but this one was really well done. It was riveting without being terrifying. I couldn't put it down. Without giving too much away, this mystery was complex. There were so many layers built into the story and the way that Patricia Bradley pulled it all together in the end was amazing. She must have had an amazing storyboard for this novel because there were a lot of angles.
I also really really loved both Sam and Emma. Their story is awesome and both these characters were so easy to cheer for.
I have no biases for this review as I purchased the book from my own resources and all opinions are my own.
Back Cover
Natchez Trace Ranger and historian Emma Winters hoped never to see Sam Ryker again after she broke off her engagement to him. But when shots are fired at her at a historical landmark just off the Natchez Trace, she's forced to work alongside Sam as the Natchez Trace law enforcement district ranger in the ensuing investigation.
To complicate matters, Emma has acquired a delusional secret admirer who is determined to have her as his own. Sam is merely an obstruction, one which must be removed. Sam knows that he has failed Emma in the past, and he doesn't intend to let her down again. Especially now that her life is on the line.
